Grand Wailea
This place rocks !!! Definitely 5 star, with 5 star prices, but down economy may bring some deals.  If you have a chance to mix business seminar with vacation this is the place.   Pretty self contained, so may have no reason to leave premises.  Shops at Wailea walking distance.  Wailea board walk can provide 5K walk run every day.  Breakfast Buffet is notorious.  Is expensive, but worth it and if times appropriately, could be only meal besides dinner. Next door to Wailea Beach Marriott. 
If you have kids, off premises is a dynamite pizza place that is just to the left as you drop down into Wailea.   

Wailea Beach Marriott
New $25 million renovation.  Beautiful location, pools.  Kid friendly, with a kids only pool with water slide and water gym. Wailea boardwalk can provide 5K walk run every day.  Right adjacent to Shops at Wailea.  

Fairmont Kea Lani

Located at the South end of the Wailea board walk, this hotel boasts large suites, with separate master bedrooms.  Living area usually has queen sofa bed. Equipped with refrigerator and microwave.  The refrigerator isn't a mini bar, so you can shop and stock you own.   Service is what you would expect at a 5 star.   Two fine dining areas at KO or Nick's Fish House.
